@ElleVarner – Loving U Blind

ARTIST: ELLE VARNER
SONG: “LOVING U BLIND”
PRODUCER: N/A
ALBUM:
DIRECTOR:

Whoa, remember Elle Varner? She released a solid debut album and had us excited for what she had in store. Unfortunately, we did not hear a follow-up and it has left us wondering what happened. Luckily, we’ve kept up with her and it turns out that she released a new single for fans thirsting for music. “Loving U Blind” departs from the traditional R&B we remember, except it still carries that vulnerability we appreciated from her. The clip finds her walking into a building and performing the track with no one there, just letting the acoustic guitar back her heartfelt lyrics.

Marsha Ambrosius – NYLA [Album Stream]

The amazing Marsha Ambrosius has returned this week with NYLA, her first studio album in four years. The project is made up of 16 tracks from the Liverpool singer, with just one guest appearance coming from Maroon 5’s PJ Morton.

NYLA serves as the follow-up to 2014’s Friends & Lovers, but she’s been plenty busy since then. She’s appeared on albums from Dr. Dre, A Tribe Called Quest, Common, Nipsey Hussle and Royce Da 5’9″ to name a few.

@Will Smith, @EsBadBunny & @MarcAnthony – Esta Rico

ARTIST: WILL SMITH, BAD BUNNY & MARC ANTHONY
SONG: “ESTA RICO”
PRODUCER: OSCARCITO, DALEPLAY
ALBUM: TBD
DIRECTOR:

Is Will Smith a Latin artist now? This is the second single in a row he’s collaborating with the wave. It’s not Nicky Jam this time, though. For “Esta Rico,” he’s alongside Bad Bunny and Marc Anthony, who provides a catchy ass hook that will certainly go international. Bunny had the first verse, but Will held his own on the English tip.

Joan Smalls seducing for three minutes wasn’t bad either. Plus, the poker skit at the end with Luis Guzmán was refreshing to see in a video.
