Spider-Man: Homecoming director Jon Watts clarified that the Venom film was not connected to the Marvel world or Spider-Man. In a conversation with Fandango, he went to say “It’s not. It’s not connected to the Marvel world, so that’s really intriguing… what that will be. It’s not connected, so there’s not that overlap. I’m only focused on my movie right now.”
So, with Mr. Watts confirming that Venom will have no connection to Spider-Man, Sony is planning to upstart a new franchise and possible similar universe stand-off universe to Deadpool. Let us know in the comments how you feel about the Venom story being a complete solo presentation.

The highly-anticipated KAWS x Air Jordan 4 is undoubtedly one of the stronger releases from Jordan Brand this year.
Rendered in a versatile finish of cool grey for timeless appeal, the sneaker’s premium build is defined by textured and smooth suede, which also reveals a distinctive pattern on the upper.
Further detailed with leather accents throughout, the silhouette is topped off with matching KAWS hang-tag, branded “xx” heel tabs that replace the traditional Jumpman, graphic-printed leather insoles and translucent glow-in-the-dark outsoles that incorporate signature KAWS graphics.
Priced at $350 and extremely limited in quantity, an accompanying Jordan apparel collection will be dropping alongside the sneakers at select Nike and JB retailers this Friday, March 31.
Boasting a sleeker primeknit construction, draped in the eye-catching tone — the model is contrasted with accents of black located on the three stripe motif, branded heel badge and EVA insert in the heel. Finally, a crisp white full-length boost sole unit caps off the sleek design altogether.
Priced at $140, you can purchase this pair at select adidas retailers overseas first, while a stateside release is expected soon.
