We hope by now you know how much work Yo Gotti has put in to get to this point in life. From bad deals to now inking a deal with Roc Nation, it’s been a good year for the Memphis rapper. In the last episode of Behind The Nine, Gotti and the CMG family are making a toast for the job well done on White Friday. The has a dinner with the crew and toasts to the good times, all while putting the finishing touches on the effort.
Throughout every episode of Yo Gotti‘s Behind The Nine documentary, we’ve seen what his closest confidants have to say about Gotti, his recording process and how he cooked up White Friday. We’ve heard rough drafts of some of the hardest songs on there and the inspiration behind the album.
In part four of the series, we get to check out DJ Smallz, someone who has been there from the start, as he talks about how much Gotti has stayed the same through it all. We also see some of the engineers and producers who helped put the project together at the crib and inside the studio.
While the streets keep digesting that White Friday album, Yo Gotti continues showing us his behind-the-scenes work. From how he recorded his latest effort, to video shoots, creative meetings with producers and kicking it with some of his friends. In this episode, Jeezy stopped through the crib to play pool and chop it up about the music and then it was back to the lab for him. Before that, though, he spoke on some of the missteps he’s made in the music industry and how he had to buy himself out of some deals in the past.
If it’s one thing we’ve learned from these episodes, it’s the fact it’s non-stop work for Gotti.
After getting an inside look at Yo Gotti‘s studio process in the last episode of Behind The Nine, he’s still showing us how some of the songs from his White Friday project were cooked up. In this episode, Gotti links up with producer Ben Billions at the crib, as they try to bang out a Kodak Black-featured cut, which ended up being “Weatherman.” In the video, he’s putting together the skeleton for “Lifestyle,” though. Gotti also talks about his label and what separates him from other CEO’s, saying that he lets the artists be them and doesn’t mess with the creative flow.
New Music Friday brought us a new project from Yo Gotti, but he’s taking fans behind-the-scenes to how White Friday was completed with this new documentary. Aptly titled Behind The Nine because he had nine days to finish the project, you can see the process of recording for Gotti in the first part of the video.
He called up producers he wanted to work with, set up shop in a mansion and brought his homies around to give him the energy to feed him to the finish line.
In the clip, his manager, producers and advisors talk about his work ethic and how they came to work with Gotti in the first place, mentioning the fact that he never stopped hustling. Gotti wanted to work with all the young producers for this one and give the streets that real.
